Balochistan Government Decides to Build Concrete Wall to Secure Quetta Red Zone

QUETTA: The Balochistan government has decided to construct a concrete wall to enhance security in Quetta’s Red Zone.

The decision was taken during a meeting chaired by Secretary Communications and Works Babar Khan, focusing on measures to secure sensitive areas of the provincial capital.

Briefing the meeting, Babar Khan said that in the first phase, a concrete wall will be installed at Edhi Chowk. Subsequently, concrete walls will be constructed on all entry points leading into the Red Zone to strengthen security arrangements.

Meanwhile, under enhanced security measures implemented after January 31, several major roads in Quetta, including Pishin Stop, Inscomb Road, and Spini Link Road, have been closed or converted into one-way routes.

These restrictions have caused significant inconvenience for residents, with citizens facing difficulties in daily travel across the city.
