Government to Introduce New Digital Media Policy, Newspapers Must Pay Employees as per Official Wage Structure: CM Sarfraz Bugti
**Quetta (Daily Qudrat Quetta)** – Mir Sarfraz Bugti, Chief Minister of Balochistan, has announced that the provincial government is formulating a new media policy with a greater focus on digital media.
Addressing a session of the Balochistan Assembly, the Chief Minister said that the number of newspaper readers is steadily declining, prompting the government to shift its attention toward digital platforms. He emphasized that the upcoming policy aims to align media outreach with modern trends and communication needs.
Sarfraz Bugti urged newspaper owners to ensure payment of salaries to their employees in accordance with the government’s prescribed wage policy, stating that this step is essential to address the financial challenges faced by the journalist community.
He clarified that the objective of the new media policy is to promote public welfare and ensure effective dissemination of government initiatives and development measures across the province.
