CM Balochistan Says 145 Terrorists Killed, Accuses India and Use of Afghan Soil

**Quetta:**
Balochistan Chief Minister Sarfraz Bugti has said that the bodies of 145 terrorists are currently in the custody of the authorities, stressing that the state has not used excessive force in Balochistan. He claimed that terrorists were even brought in children as young as 11 years old and alleged that whenever Pakistan makes progress, India resorts to conspiracies to destabilize the country.
Addressing a press conference at the Chief Minister’s Secretariat, Bugti said that more than 1,500 terrorists have been eliminated over the past year. He added that Afghan soil is being used for terrorist activities inside Pakistan. Provincial ministers and officials, including Shoaib Nosherwani, Hamza Shafqat, Ali Madad Jattak, Imran Zarkoon and Shahid Rind, were also present on the occasion.
The chief minister clarified that the state has never used unjustified force in Balochistan, while terrorists are exploiting innocent civilians, including children, for violent acts. He said security forces acted with responsibility and caution, averting a major tragedy in the province.
Paying tribute to martyrs and veterans at the start of the press conference, Bugti said intelligence reports had confirmed large-scale terrorist plans in the province, prompting timely operations by security forces. He stated that 40 terrorists were killed in operations in Shaban and Panjgur, while a total of 145 were eliminated over the past 40 hours.
Bugti said that in Gwadar, a Baloch family was targeted, resulting in the martyrdom of five women and three children. He accused terrorists of using the Baloch people as fuel for their war and deliberately targeting innocent civilians.
Alleging foreign involvement, the chief minister said India becomes active in conspiracies whenever Pakistan progresses, as it wants to undermine Pakistan’s importance in the region. He emphasized that the proscribed Balochistan Liberation Army (BLA) is not a political party to negotiate with, but an armed group seeking to impose its ideology through violence under the pretext of deprivation.
Bugti said terrorists often hide among civilians, while the state remains responsible and cannot harm its own people. He reiterated that all operations in Balochistan have been carried out strictly within the framework of the constitution and law.
He further said terrorists were attempting to enter sensitive areas, but security forces foiled their plans through timely action. Referring to the Noshki operation, he acknowledged that it took some time but was successfully concluded.
Vowing to restore peace, Bugti said the government would continue its fight against terrorism regardless of how long it takes and would never bow before terrorists. He described the conflict as a war against Indian proxies and warned that road blockades in the name of protests would not be allowed.
The chief minister also revealed that militant leaders Bashir Zeb, Allah Nazar and Rahman Gul are still present in Afghanistan, alleging that Afghan soil is being used for terrorism against Pakistan and that Afghan nationals are also involved in such activities. He said terrorists have no nation or tribe and strongly condemned the exploitation of Baloch women for violence.
Bugti added that terrorists also targeted Safe City cameras and claimed that after 2018, militants were given space to reorganize, during which several check posts in Balochistan were removed.
