Pakistan Confirms Participation in T20 World Cup but Rules Out Match Against India

**Islamabad:** Pakistan has announced that it will participate in the ICC T20 World Cup but will not play its scheduled match against India.
According to details, PCB Chairman Mohsin Naqvi met Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif, during which an important decision regarding Pakistan’s participation in the T20 World Cup was finalized. Following the meeting, the Government of Pakistan officially announced that while Pakistan will take part in the tournament, it will not face India.
The Pakistan–India clash in the T20 World Cup was scheduled to be played on **February 15**.
The Government of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan grants approval to the Pakistan Cricket Team to participate in the ICC World T20 2026, however, the Pakistan Cricket Team shall not take the field in the match scheduled on 15th February 2026 against India.

Meanwhile, reasons behind Pakistan’s decision to boycott the February 15 match against India have also emerged. Government sources stated that there are multiple reasons for not playing the match, with the **ICC’s alleged biased decision related to Bangladesh** being a key factor.
According to official sources, the Pakistani team has been instructed to skip the match against India on February 15 as a form of protest.
