Development Projects in Quetta Under CM Package Lagging, Citizens Face Hardships Due to Fund Shortages and Weather

**Quetta:** Development projects under the Chief Minister’s Development Package in Quetta are experiencing delays, causing significant inconvenience for local residents.

Key projects affected include the widening of Samungli Road, Jinnah Road, and Zarghoon Road, construction of drainage and service roads on Saryab Road, and the new highway connecting New Subzul Road to Airport Road. Despite several months of work, these projects remain incomplete, disrupting traffic flow and frustrating commuters.

Residents have expressed concerns, noting that similar projects in other parts of the country are completed within a few months, while even minor road constructions in Quetta take an extended period.

Project Director of the CM Development Package, Rafiq Baloch, attributed the delays to harsh winter conditions and delayed fund releases. He assured that the construction of Samungli Road, Jinnah Road, and Zarghoon Road would be completed within the next two months.
