Crime Rate in Quetta Drops by 70% in Two Months: Balochistan CM

QUETTA:Balochistan Chief Minister Mir Sarfraz Bugti said on Friday that the crime rate in Quetta has declined by 70 percent over the past two months due to effective security measures.

In a post on social media platform X, the chief minister stated that under the Safe City project, 97 percent of surveillance cameras in Quetta have been restored and made operational. He added that concrete steps are being taken to gradually improve the overall law and order situation in the province.

CM Bugti said the Balochistan Police is playing a frontline role in combating terrorism and criminal elements, and reiterated the government’s commitment to ensuring lasting peace and security across the province.
