Roof Collapse Claims Lives of Mother and Two Daughters in Dera Murad Jamali
**Dera Murad Jamali:** A tragic incident occurred in Dera Murad Jamali after continuous rainfall caused the roof of a house to collapse, killing a mother and her two daughters on the spot, while three other family members sustained serious injuries.
According to police, heavy winter rain that had been falling since last night wreaked havoc on a poor laborer’s family in Ward No. 25. The sudden collapse of the house roof buried several occupants under the debris, resulting in the deaths of Nazira Bibi and her two daughters, Mir Zadi and Shahida Bibi. The head of the family, Muhammad Panah Solangi, along with his two children, Wahid Bakhsh and Kausar, were seriously injured.
Upon receiving information, local police and rescue teams rushed to the scene and shifted the injured to the Teaching Hospital, Dera Murad Jamali, where they were provided medical treatment. Doctors said the injured are now out of danger.
On the directives of the Deputy Commissioner, the Assistant Commissioner visited the affected family’s house. He announced that the government would bear the burial expenses of the deceased and provide financial assistance to the affected family. Temporary tents were also set up to provide immediate shelter to the victims.
