Accept Employees’ Demands and Grant DRA, Says Nawab Muhammad Ayaz Khan Jogezai During Meeting With Grand Alliance Delegation

**Quetta (Daily Qudrat Quetta):** Central Secretary of the Pashtunkhwa Milli Awami Party (PkMAP), Nawab Muhammad Ayaz Khan Jogezai, held a meeting with a delegation of Grand Alliance employees at the party’s central secretariat, where the delegation briefed him on alleged government high-handedness, refusal to grant Disparity Reduction Allowance (DRA), violation of commitments, arrests of employees, raids on homes, offices and educational institutions, intimidation, and unconstitutional and undemocratic actions.
The delegation included Provincial General Secretary Qaim Khan Kakar, Deputy General Secretary Abdul Karim Jang, Head Office Secretary Yousafi Baloch, Provincial Deputy Organizer Khair Muhammad Tareen, Provincial Press Secretary Gul Muhammad Hanbhi, Provincial Chief Auditor Arif Shah, President Chiltan Town Haji Abdullah Murri, senior GCTA (Aini) leader Shakeel Ahmed Panzai, and other members of the Government Teachers Association (Aini) Balochistan.
Speaking on the occasion, Nawab Muhammad Ayaz Khan Jogezai said the party’s stance on the Grand Alliance employees’ protest and their legitimate legal and democratic demands has been clear from the very beginning. He stated that the party has repeatedly urged the government to accept all demands of the Grand Alliance and resolve the ongoing movement through dialogue and negotiations, ensuring the provision of DRA to employees on the pattern of other provinces and addressing the difficulties arising due to protests in offices and educational institutions.
He said the employees’ protest is constitutional and legal, and the party fully supports it. However, he also stressed that employees should identify those within their ranks who, despite drawing government salaries and benefits, fail to perform their duties, calling such conduct an injustice to the poor people of the province.
Nawab Jogezai expressed regret that when officers or employees are transferred at the departmental level, many attempt to cancel their transfers instead of reporting to their new postings. He pointed out that districts such as Pishin, Chaman, Qila Abdullah, Loralai, Sibi, Harnai, Dukki, Musa Khail, Zhob, Sherani and Qila Saifullah often face staff shortages, as many prefer to remain posted in Quetta despite having secured jobs on merit and quota from these districts.
He emphasized that performing duties in all districts of the province, not just Quetta, is the responsibility and obligation of employees in every sector. He urged the government to accept the demands of the Grand Alliance employees in a dignified manner, honor its commitments, and abandon unconstitutional, illegal and undemocratic measures.
On the occasion, PkMAP Provincial General Secretary Kabir Afghan, Provincial Executives Soorat Khan Kakar, Malik Umar Kakar and Nizam Askar, Provincial Committee members Muhammad Din Rodwal and Shakeel Afghan, Pashtunkhwa SO South Pashtunkhwa Zonal Organizer Waris Afghan, and others were also present.
