Will Raise Gwadar’s Public Issues at Every Forum, Says Hidayat ur Rehman Baloch

Quetta: Provincial Ameer of Jamaat-e-Islami Balochistan and Member of the Provincial Assembly Hidayat ur Rehman Baloch has said that he will continue to raise the issues of Gwadar’s people at every forum.

Addressing a public gathering (Awami Diwan) in Gwadar on the completion of his two years in office, he stated that during the past two years he has presented himself before the public every month for accountability and has continued his political struggle in consultation with local elders, leaders, and those who made sacrifices for the cause.

He said that the people of Balochistan are trapped in a web of problems, lacking basic rights, employment opportunities, education, healthcare facilities, and even access to clean drinking water. According to him, the public is being misled with mere claims and announcements without practical action. He also expressed regret that people are unable to freely elect their representatives, while issues such as enforced disappearances, oppression, and restrictions on democratic protests remain serious concerns.

During the Awami Diwan held at the district office of the Haq Do Tehreek, Hidayat ur Rehman Baloch listened to complaints from residents of مختلف areas and contacted officials of relevant departments by phone, directing them to address the issues. The concerned authorities assured that the problems would be resolved on a priority basis.

He reiterated that he considers himself a servant and elected representative of the people and will strive to live up to their trust. He added that his efforts inside and outside the assembly for the collective welfare of the public over the past two years are evident and will continue in the future.

Participants at the gathering expressed satisfaction over his performance, stating that several collective development projects have been completed within a short period, while work on others is ongoing.
