Quetta Fire Causes Losses Worth Millions for Traders, Provincial Government Must Compensate Affected Shopkeepers: Sadiq Khan Achakzai
**Quetta:** Chairman of the Mazloom Awami Tehreek Pakistan, Sadiq Khan Achakzai, on Tuesday expressed deep sorrow and grief over the massive damage caused by a fire that broke out at Haleem Plaza near Prince Road Junction Chowk, a key commercial area of Quetta.
He stated that traders from Quetta, Chaman, and other areas suffered heavy losses in the incident, with each shopkeeper reportedly incurring losses worth millions of rupees as their entire capital was reduced to ashes. Calling the incident deeply painful, he emphasized the severe impact on the affected business community.
Sadiq Khan Achakzai demanded that the provincial government immediately compensate the traders who suffered losses in the fire. He further said that he would soon meet senior provincial government officials through his party to press for relief and compensation for the affected traders.
