TikTok Removes Over 28 Million Videos in Pakistan from July to September for Community Guidelines Violations

**Islamabad:** Social media platform **TikTok** has deleted a total of **28,198,284 videos** in Pakistan during the third quarter (July–September) of fiscal year 2025-26 for violating its community guidelines, according to the platform’s latest report.
The report highlights TikTok’s commitment to providing a **safe digital environment** for its users. Of the removed content, **99.8% were proactively taken down**, and **95.9% of the videos were deleted within 24 hours of being uploaded**.
Globally, TikTok removed **2.04 billion videos** in the same quarter, representing about **0.7% of all content uploaded**. Most of these videos (**1.866 billion**) were identified and removed automatically, while **8.95 million were later restored** after further review.
To maintain platform integrity, TikTok also **removed 1.186 billion fake accounts** and **222.26 million accounts suspected to belong to users under 13 years of age** during this quarter.
The deleted content in Pakistan included **30% videos related to sensitive or adult topics**, **15.7% violating platform safety and decency standards**, **2.7% breaching privacy or security guidelines**, **32.9% flagged as misinformation**, and **34.4% identified as altered or AI-generated media**.
TikTok emphasized that while technology handles the bulk of content moderation, human review remains crucial for appeals, expert guidance, and responding to rapidly evolving situations. The regular publication of the **Community Guidelines Enforcement Report** reflects TikTok’s commitment to transparency and a positive user experience.
