National Party Defeats Undemocratic Forces Through Organized Struggle: Dr Abdul Malik Baloch

Quetta:Chairman of the National Party and former Chief Minister Balochistan, Dr Abdul Malik Baloch, has said that political workers in areas like Kohlu and Barkhan have defeated traditional and undemocratic forces through their organized and committed struggle. He stressed that the issue of missing persons has become extremely serious and requires an immediate solution.
He expressed these views while addressing a joining ceremony along with National Party Central Secretary General Mir Kabir Ahmed Muhammad Shahi, Central Committee member and Chairman Mehrab Baloch. On the occasion, Mir Arz Baloch, Sardar Yaseen Marri, Saleh Marri and their associates formally joined the National Party.
Senior party leaders including Central Spokesperson Ali Ahmed Lango, Central Social Media Secretary Saad Baloch, Central Committee members Mir Abdul Khaliq Baloch, Mir Kareem Khetran, Dr Ramzan Hazara, Provincial Women Secretary and Member of Balochistan Assembly Kulsoom Niaz Baloch, and others were also present.
Welcoming the new members, Dr Abdul Malik Baloch said that the National Party has emerged as a strong and organized political force in Kohlu and Barkhan due to the dedication and commitment of its workers. He said the National Party is their political legacy, rooted in comradeship, organizational discipline, close ties with the people, and loyalty to the homeland.
He said the issue of missing persons has become highly sensitive, with daily reports of enforced disappearances. He emphasized that if anyone is guilty, they should be produced before courts under the law, and their detention should not be concealed from their families.
Dr Abdul Malik Baloch said issues related to the grand alliance should be resolved through dialogue, as imprisonment and coercion are not solutions. He also warned that corruption has deeply penetrated Balochistan, hindering the province’s social and economic development, and urged party workers to keep themselves away from such practices.
The former chief minister reiterated the party’s firm stance on constitutional supremacy, saying the National Party believes in the rule of the Constitution, supremacy of Parliament, an independent judiciary, a free media, and a neutral Election Commission. He warned that any attempt to roll back the 18th Constitutional Amendment or the NFC Award would face strong resistance from the National Party.
He further said that the National Party remains one of the most organized political parties in the province, with active offices and organizational structures in all districts.
Addressing the gathering, Central Secretary General Mir Kabir Ahmed Muhammad Shahi and Chairman Mehrab Baloch welcomed the new entrants and said the National Party is a party of political workers where workers’ leadership is respected. They said constructive criticism and questioning are encouraged within party institutions.
They also highlighted the dire economic conditions in Balochistan, stating that limited employment opportunities and the closure of border trade have caused severe financial hardship for the people. They stressed that genuine political and democratic processes alone can bring positive change and urged the rulers to stop creating obstacles in the path of political activity.
