Levies Integrated into Police, Advanced Anti-Terrorism Training Launched: IG Balochistan Reviews Program

Inspector General of Police Balochistan, **Muhammad Tahir**, has said that following the integration of Levies personnel into the police force, **modern and advanced training programs** are being provided to equip officers with contemporary skills and technologies to effectively counter terrorism and serious crimes and ensure the protection of lives and property.

He expressed these views while addressing under-training Levies personnel at the **Police Training College (PTC) Quetta** and reviewing various training facilities. The IG emphasized that top instructors are engaged in enhancing the professional capabilities of officers to meet evolving security challenges.

Senior officials present on the occasion included **Commandant PTC Quetta Shahzad Akbar**, **DIG Special Branch Balochistan Tahir Alauddin**, **Deputy Commandant PTC Fahad Khosa**, **Chief Law Instructor Nazar Badini**, and other officers.

During the visit, the IG reviewed training facilities, including the **Bomb Disposal Squad**, and assessed the professional preparedness of officers. Senior police officials briefed him on ongoing training programs, modern facilities, and bomb disposal equipment. Bomb Disposal Squad personnel also demonstrated practical exercises for neutralizing explosives, which the IG appreciated, expressing satisfaction over their skills and professionalism.

IG Tahir said that **Balochistan is a sensitive and strategically important province**, and establishing peace here is essential not only for the province but for the stability of the entire country. He stated that Balochistan Police is performing its duties against criminals, terrorists, and anti-state elements with dedication, sacrifice, and professional competence.

He reiterated that the establishment of **sustainable and lasting peace** in the province remains a top priority. Under-training personnel are being provided specialized instruction in **counter-terrorism, bomb disposal, intelligence, and modern policing techniques** to ensure readiness for changing security situations.

The IG further said that through **modern technology, trained manpower, and a strong institutional framework**, significant improvements are being made in police performance. He added that the police force remains fully alert and committed to making Balochistan peaceful, without hesitation in making any sacrifice.

Paying tribute to fallen officers, IG Tahir said that police officers and personnel have embraced martyrdom while performing their duties, and **the blood of the martyrs will not go in vain**. He reaffirmed that the police remain fully prepared at all times to protect the lives and property of the public.
