Balochistan Assembly Annual Attendance Report: Haji Wali Mohamad Norzai Tops with 98%, Nawab Sanaullah Zehri Records Zero

Quetta, Daily Qudrat – The annual performance report of Balochistan Assembly members has been released, revealing wide variations in attendance. Haji Wali Mohamad Norzai of Pakistan Muslim League-N (PML-N) led with 98% attendance, while Nawab Sanaullah Zehri recorded zero participation in assembly sessions.

The report covers the second parliamentary year from February 2025 to February 2026. Other top attendees include Haji Ali Madad Jatuk of Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) with 96% attendance, Parliamentary Secretaries Mohammad Khan Lehri and Maulana Hidayat-ur-Rahman Baloch with 90% each, and Speaker Captain (R) Abdul Khaliq Khan Achakzai at 88%.

Chief Minister Mir Sarfraz Ahmed Bugti attended 78% of sessions, while Opposition Leader’s attendance stood at 75%. Other notable leaders’ attendance included:

PPP Parliamentary Leader Mir Sadiq Umarani – 43%

PML-N Parliamentary Leader Mir Saleem Khosa – 73%

Former Chief Minister Dr. Abdul Malik Baloch (National Party) – 49%

Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam Leader Nawab Aslam Raisani – 4%

Several members also had low attendance: Former members Mir Ali Hassan Zehri and Mir Zafarullah Zehri at 8%, Nawab Jangiz Khan Mari at 12%, and Mohammad Khan Tor Atman Khail at 14%.

Other mid-range attendances were recorded as: Samad Khan Gurgij and Syed Zafar Ali Agha – 78%, Abdul Majid Badini – 76%, Mir Zubid Ali Rekhi, Mir Liaqat Ali Lehri, Asghar Ali Tarin, and Safia Fazl-ur-Rehman – 75%, while low attendance included Prince Ahmed Umar Ahmedzai – 31% and Shehnaz Umarani – 29%. One seat (BP-36) remained vacant, so no attendance was recorded.
