Two Under-Detention Suspects Killed in Alleged Police Encounter in Peshawar

Peshawar:Two under-detention suspects were killed in an alleged police encounter in Peshawar, police officials said on Tuesday.
According to police, unidentified assailants riding a motorcycle opened indiscriminate fire on a police party near Shaheed Abad Graveyard in Peshawar. The firing took place when police were escorting detained suspects to identify other accused individuals.
Police stated that as a result of the attackers’ firing, two suspects who were in police custody were killed, while the assailants managed to escape from the scene.
An investigation has been launched into the incident, and efforts are underway to trace and arrest the fleeing attackers.
