Annual Elections Begin for Lahore and Islamabad Bar Associations

Islamabad/Lahore: The annual elections for the Islamabad Bar Association have commenced, with polling underway for a total of six seats. Over 4,000 lawyers are expected to cast their votes, including six female candidates competing for positions.
Meanwhile, the Lahore Bar Association has also started its annual elections, which will continue without interruption until 5:00 PM. A total of 27 candidates are contesting eight seats, including the positions of President and Secretary.
For the presidency, Aadib Aslam Bhinder from the Asma Jahangir Group will face off against Irfan Hayat Bajwa of the Hamid Khan Group. The elections are being closely watched as a significant democratic exercise within Pakistan’s legal community.
