Moon Sighting Committee to Meet Today for Sha’ban Crescent

Islamabad: The Ruet-e-Hilal Committee has convened a meeting today to sight the crescent moon for the Islamic month of Sha’ban.

The meeting will be held in Islamabad under the chairmanship of Maulana Abdul Khabeer Azad, with members of the central Ruet-e-Hilal Committee and zonal committees in attendance. Officials from the Meteorological Department, astronomers, and representatives of relevant institutions will also participate.

Zonal committee meetings will simultaneously take place in Peshawar, Lahore, Karachi, Quetta, Muzaffarabad, and Gilgit.

The final announcement of the Sha’ban moon will be made by the central Ruet-e-Hilal Committee.
