Pressure Being Applied to Sell Multan Sultans, Reveals PCB Chairman Mohsin Naqvi

**Islamabad (Daily Qudrat):** Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) Chairman Mohsin Naqvi has revealed that pressure is being exerted on him to sell his team, Multan Sultans.
Speaking at a press conference held at the Jinnah Convention Centre in Islamabad after the auction of two new teams for the Pakistan Super League (PSL), Mohsin Naqvi spoke candidly about the future of Multan Sultans.
He said that a persistent narrative on social media claims that Multan Sultans is operating at a loss, prompting the PCB to decide that the actual financial facts will be made public. According to Naqvi, the board will first demonstrate how much profit the team is genuinely generating before taking any decision regarding its auction or sale.
Responding to a question on the occasion, PSL Chief Executive Officer Salman Naseer stated that Mohsin Naqvi has already clarified that during the 11th edition of the PSL, the Pakistan Cricket Board itself will oversee the affairs of Multan Sultans.
He added that the PCB will directly manage the team’s administrative and financial matters to ensure complete transparency.
Without naming the former owner, the PCB chairman said that Multan Sultans has been subjected to baseless criticism, whereas the reality is quite the opposite. He emphasized that the PCB’s objective is to further strengthen and make the PSL more profitable so that the league and its teams remain strong on a long-term basis.
