Pakistan U-19 Team Returns Home with Asia Cup Trophy After Crushing India in Final

After inflicting a humiliating defeat on India in the final of the Under-19 Asia Cup, the Pakistani Shaheens returned home with the prestigious Asia Cup trophy. The national U-19 cricket team received a grand welcome at Islamabad Airport, where a large number of citizens gathered late at night to celebrate the historic victory.
The victorious players were showered with flower petals, adorned with garlands, and presented bouquets. Jubilant fans danced to the beat of drums, performed bhangra, and celebrated enthusiastically. Fireworks were also displayed outside the airport, while chants of “Pakistan Zindabad” echoed throughout the area during the reception.
Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) Chief Operating Officer Samir Ahmed, Director High Performance Aqib Javed, and other senior PCB officials were present to welcome the team. From the airport, all players were escorted under VIP protocol to a local hotel.
Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif is scheduled to meet the Under-19 players today, where he will commend and encourage the team for their outstanding performance against India.
It is worth recalling that Pakistan clinched the title by defeating India by a massive margin of 191 runs. Pakistan posted an imposing total of 347 runs for the loss of eight wickets in 50 overs, setting India a target of 348. Samir Minhas played a sensational knock of 172 runs off 113 balls, hitting 17 fours and nine sixes, and finished as the tournament’s top scorer.
In reply, the Indian team was bowled out for just 156 runs. Devendran scored 36 runs, while Suryavanshi contributed 26 for India.
With this triumph, Pakistan has won the Under-19 Asia Cup title for the second time. Previously, Pakistan and India were declared joint winners of the tournament in 2012.
