Pakistan and India Set for Epic Semi-Final Clash at World Championship of Legends

London: The much-awaited semi-final showdown between Pakistan and India has been confirmed in the 2025 World Championship of Legends.
Interestingly, during the group stage of the tournament, India had refused to play against Pakistan, resulting in the cancellation of that match. However, after defeating the West Indies champions, India secured a semi-final spot, where they will face Pakistan, the top team from the group stage, on July 31.
In a crucial match played on Tuesday, the West Indies set a target of 145 runs for India, which the Indian team chased down in just 13.2 overs, losing 5 wickets in the process. This win boosted India’s net run rate and helped them qualify for the semi-finals.
Earlier on the same day, Pakistan had comfortably defeated Australia by 10 wickets in a one-sided match to secure their place in the semi-finals and top the points table.
It’s worth noting that the India-Pakistan group stage match had been called off after Indian cricketers Shikhar Dhawan, Yusuf Pathan, Irfan Pathan, and Harbhajan Singh objected to the presence of Shahid Afridi in the Pakistani squad. Following their objection, the organizers expressed regret and canceled the match.
Now, all eyes are on whether the Indian team will indeed take the field against Pakistan in the semi-final or if they will once again try to avoid the clash with a “new objection.”
