Complaint Filed Against Lahore High Court Chief Justice and Two Judges in Supreme Judicial Council

Lahore: A formal complaint has been submitted to the Supreme Judicial Council against the Chief Justice of Lahore High Court, Alia Neelum, and Justice Abher Gul Khan, raising serious questions about their educational qualifications, competence, and administrative roles.

The complaint alleges that both judges are unfit to hold their current positions and calls for a thorough review of their academic credentials and overall suitability for judicial office. Specifically, concerns have been raised about Justice Abher Gul Khan’s educational degrees, requesting verification of his complete academic record before his confirmation as a permanent judge.

Additionally, the complaint accuses the targeted transfer of female district judges in Lahore to remote areas, negatively impacting their personal and family lives. It also alleges that Chief Justice Alia Neelum has interfered in district court matters, urging a formal evaluation of her conduct.

The complaint has been filed on behalf of affected female judges and parents of other judicial officers, who have requested anonymity due to security concerns.

The petitioners have urged the Supreme Judicial Council that, if the allegations are proven true, Chief Justice Alia Neelum and Justice Abher Gul Khan should be removed from their positions to maintain public confidence in the judicial system.
