Alleged Tampering Uncovered in Balochistan Board HSSC 2024 Results; High-Level Committee Formed

Quetta:An alleged case of tampering in the HSSC 2024 examination results of the Balochistan Board of Intermediate and Secondary Education (BBISE) has come to light, prompting the formation of a high-level committee to review the results of 34 students accused of receiving inflated marks.
The committee has been constituted in compliance with the orders of the Balochistan High Court. Notifications for the committee were issued by BBISE Chairman Muhammad Ishaq.
According to the notification, Balochistan Board Secretary Zia ur Rehman has been appointed as chairman of the committee, while Deputy Secretary Muhammad Shafee and Muhammad Haroon will serve as its members.
The statement further said that the 34 students named in the alleged increase of marks will be issued notices for personal hearings. They will be required to appear before the committee and submit their original academic documents along with two attested copies.
The inquiry committee will also be part of the investigation into FIR No. 12/Q/2025 registered with Anti-Corruption Balochistan. After completing its probe, the committee will submit a detailed report along with recommendations to the chairman, following which further legal and administrative action will be taken by the board or its executive body.
It was clarified that all proceedings will be conducted under the provisions of the BBISE Act 2019.
