40–50 Lakh Youth Unemployed in Balochistan: Jamaat-e-Islami Launches ‘Bano Qabil’ Program to Empower Youngsters

**Quetta (Daily Qudrat):** Addressing a press conference at Markazi Islami Gwadar, Maulana Hidayat-ur-Rahman, MPA and Ameer of Jamaat-e-Islami Balochistan, highlighted the alarming rise in unemployment in the province, stating that around 40–50 lakh youth currently remain jobless. He said that only 6,000 vacancies exist in the provincial PSDP, making the unemployment rate extremely concerning.
Maulana Hidayat-ur-Rahman emphasized that the current educational system is outdated, producing graduates who primarily seek jobs rather than becoming self-reliant. To address this gap and empower youth, Jamaat-e-Islami has extended its nationwide ‘Bano Qabil’ program to Balochistan, starting from Quetta.
The program aims to provide four-month IT courses, equipping young people with modern technological and practical skills. Participants will have access to newly established IT labs, awareness campaigns in educational institutions, and guidance to enhance their employability. Both men and women can enroll through online registration, including applicants from across the Makran region.
Maulana Hidayat-ur-Rahman also announced that Ameer Jamaat-e-Islami Pakistan, Hafiz Naeem-ur-Rahman, will visit Gwadar on January 25, where a test under the ‘Bano Qabil’ program will be conducted at 3 PM in the cricket stadium. Graduates of the program will receive certificates and assistance in securing respectable jobs through links with national and multinational companies.
He concluded by stating that the program represents Jamaat-e-Islami’s practical efforts to not only advocate for democratic rights but also to make the youth skilled, self-reliant, and gainfully employed in the modern economy.
