Bhutan Roads Turn Deadly: NHA Negligence Blamed for Spike in Accidents, Winter Work Limited to Photo Ops

**Quetta (Daily Qudrat):** National highways across Balochistan have become death traps due to the alleged negligence of the **National Highway Authority (NHA)**, with daily accidents claiming precious lives. Public circles have expressed strong criticism, stating that while NHA boasts of high standards, the reality on the ground is extremely poor.
Citizens allege that NHA staff remain absent throughout the year, appearing only during rains or snowfall under the guise of clearing mud and collecting heavy allowances, often engaging in corrupt practices. Social media influencers are reportedly involved in orchestrated photo sessions, while roads and bridges remain broken, shoulders eroded, and deep potholes cause frequent accidents.
Critics further claim that more people die in road accidents caused by NHA negligence than from terrorism in Balochistan. They have demanded that the **Chief Minister, Governor, and Chief Secretary of Balochistan** take notice of the “contractor-style” behavior of NHA officials, remove corrupt officers, and hold responsible parties accountable for accidents. Failure to act, they warn, will make higher authorities equally complicit in these deaths and corruption.
