‘Clear Message from Jail: Freedom or Death,’ Says KP Chief Minister Sohail Afridi

Lahore: Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Chief Minister Sohail Afridi has said that a clear message of “freedom or death” has been received from jail, leaving no room for mistakes.

While addressing a parliamentary committee meeting at the Punjab Assembly, the chief minister thanked PTI Punjab, the opposition leader, Salman Akram Raja, and Aliya Hamza for their support. He criticized the Punjab government, alleging that an uncivilized and unethical administration was in place, and claimed that police behaved rudely from Chakri to Lahore.

He said he did not expect such treatment from the Punjab Assembly staff, adding that wherever they go, they are usually received with respect and dignity, and that PTI members share mutual affection and unity.

Sohaib Afridi also addressed claims by some critics who label Imran Khan a security risk, stating that Imran Khan is, in fact, a symbol of national security and stability. He said Pakistan’s debt had risen from Rs44 trillion to Rs80 trillion, the youth were leaving the country, and the national economy was deteriorating.

“We are not afraid of false gods on earth. The more oppressive a person is, the more cowardly he becomes,” he said, adding that with the passion of the Pakistani people, injustice would be defeated. “You must not lose hope,” he urged supporters.

The KP chief minister further stated that he rejects any position or office that forces him to retreat from his ideology or compromise on principles. He said that his leader’s directive had been received and that the party would now mobilize for a street movement.
