Quetta Hosts International Seminar to Mark 75 Years of Pak-China Friendship, Vows to Strengthen CPEC and Strategic Partnership

To celebrate 75 years of Pak-China friendship, a one-day international seminar was organized in Quetta, jointly hosted by the CPEC Center of Excellence, Balochistan University of Information Technology, Engineering & Management Sciences, and the Balochistan Think Tank Network. The seminar saw participation from local and international experts who discussed various aspects of Pakistan-China relations.

In the inaugural session, Pro Vice-Chancellor of Balochistan University, Professor Dr. Mirooais Kasi, delivered the opening remarks, while Dr. Zafar Khan, Executive Director of BTTN, gave the keynote address. The seminar was divided into two sessions, chaired by Dr. Siraj Bashir and Dr. Aurangzeb Alamgir.

The first session focused on challenges in Pak-China relations, economic growth, technical cooperation, bilateral ties in higher education, and the promotion of cultural relations. The second session highlighted regional stability, the strategic Pak-China partnership, and Pakistan’s role on the global stage.

Special guests included Dr. Hafeez Jamali, Director General of the Balochistan Public Service Commission, and Dr. Khalid Hafeez, Vice-Chancellor of Balochistan University. At the conclusion, participants reaffirmed their commitment to advancing CPEC initiatives and strengthening the Pak-China strategic partnership in practical terms.
