Reko Diq Mining Company and Nokundi Traders Association Join Hands to Boost Local Business and Training Initiatives

Nokundi: The **Reko Diq Mining Company (RDMC)** and the **Nokundi Traders Association** have agreed to collaborate in strengthening local business capacity, creating partnership opportunities, and enhancing the professional skills of regional traders.

The meeting, held in Nokundi, was attended by **Reko Diq Project General Manager Ryan Mitchell**, senior procurement officials, and representatives of the Nokundi Traders Association. Discussions focused on increasing local business participation in RDMC’s long-term mining-related projects.

It was agreed that RDMC will organize **training programs** for local traders covering topics such as **international business standards, financial management, supply chain procedures, and safety protocols.** These initiatives aim to equip local entrepreneurs with the skills required to effectively and competitively engage in large-scale projects like Reko Diq.

Ryan Mitchell stated, *“At Reko Diq, we believe that sustainable development begins with empowering local communities.”* He added, *“By providing training and opportunities to Nokundi’s traders and suppliers, we are laying the foundation for long-term regional growth and economic stability.”*

The **Nokundi Traders Association** welcomed RDMC’s initiative, emphasizing that such cooperation will strengthen local business capacity, raise competitiveness, and create new employment opportunities across Chagai.

RDMC reaffirmed its commitment to integrating local businesses into its **supply chain**, ensuring that stakeholders in the region benefit directly from the Reko Diq project.

**Supply Chain Manager Juan Anselin** said, *“Our goal is to ensure that the people of Chagai are active partners and real beneficiaries of the Reko Diq project. Strong partnerships with local traders are key to achieving this shared vision.”*
