HDP Leader Abdul Khaliq Hazara Confident of Victory in Quetta Local Elections

*Quetta (Daily Qudrat):* Leaders of the Hazara Democratic Party (HDP) have expressed confidence that the upcoming local elections in Quetta will reflect the true will of the people, rejecting politics based on money and force.

According to HDP officials, attempts to undermine the Hazara community’s political representation in previous general elections by imposing fake representatives under Form 47 have failed, as public trust and support for democratic parties remain strong.

During corner meetings and election office inaugurations, party leaders—including Chairman Abdul Khaliq Hazara, First Vice Chairman Mirza Hussain Hazara, Vice Chairman Azizullah Hazara, General Secretary Ahmad Ali Kohzad, Deputy Secretary Muhammad Raza Hazara, Information Secretary Qadir Ali Nail, Organizing Secretary Ghulam Raza, and Finance Secretary Yunus Changizi—highlighted that HDP is contesting elections for 60 wards across 19 union councils, fielding candidates from all communities in Quetta.

The party leadership emphasized that HDP has gained widespread confidence among Quetta residents due to its previous track record, commitment to peace, love, and unity. They claimed that the party now possesses the capability and grassroots strength to compete for the chairmanships of Zarghoon and Chiltan towns, as well as the mayoral position of Quetta. HDP leaders also stated that coordination with like-minded political parties will continue to consolidate support ahead of the elections.
