British Magazine Claims Pakistan Shot Down Four Indian Rafale Jets, Destroyed S-400 System During May Air Clash

London: British defence magazine Key.Aero has made explosive claims regarding the Pakistan-India aerial confrontation in May, stating that Pakistan shot down four of India’s advanced Rafale fighter jets during the conflict. According to the investigative report, the air battle lasted 52 minutes and resulted in heavy losses for the Indian Air Force.
The report claims that the downed Rafale aircraft carried tail numbers BS 001, BS 021, BS 022 and BS 027. It further alleged that India has failed to present any recent photographic evidence to confirm the operational presence of these aircraft since the incident.
According to Key.Aero, Pakistan’s multi-domain operations effectively crippled Indian air capabilities during the engagement. The magazine claimed that, in addition to the four Rafale jets, India also lost a MiG-29, an SU-30, and a Heron drone during the clashes.
The British publication further reported that on May 10, a JF-17C Block III of the Pakistan Air Force destroyed India’s advanced S-400 air defence system deployed at Udhampur. It also stated that Pakistani air operations targeted Indian command and control infrastructure in Barnala, further undermining India’s operational response.
The report has sparked intense debate in defence and strategic circles, as neither side has officially confirmed the full extent of losses claimed in the publication.
