National Party Leader Comments on PTI Ban and Imran Khan’s Release: “Anything Can Happen in This Country

Quetta (Qudrat Daily) — **Mir Tahir Bizenjo**, senior leader of the **National Party** and former senator, commented on the **ban on PTI and the release of Imran Khan**, saying that in Pakistan, **anything can happen, even events that seem unimaginable**.
In a video statement, he referred to historical political developments, saying that in **1973, then Prime Minister Zulfikar Ali Bhutto dismissed the NEP government in Balochistan, filed cases against its leaders, and imposed a ban on the party**. He recalled that eventually, leaders like **Khan Abdul Wali Khan and Mir Ghaus Bakhsh Bizenjo** were released from jail alongside their colleagues, and Bhutto was later executed.
He highlighted how governments have **formed and fallen over time**, yet no lessons were learned from past mistakes. He also noted that **General Zia-ul-Haq sought constitutional powers for the armed forces**, which were eventually granted by the parliament.
Mir Tahir Bizenjo criticized the role of incompetent individuals in politics, stating that **the hunger for power among political leaders has historically led to the downfall of their parties**. He emphasized that **Pakistani politics continues to suffer due to leaders prioritizing personal power over national interest**.
