Banned Outfit Members Stop Me Daily, I’d Rather Be Shot Than Hand Over My Weapon, Reveals Mir Zafar Zehri
Quetta (Daily Qudrat) – Mir Zafar Zehri, a member of the Balochistan Assembly, has made startling revelations, claiming that individuals linked to a banned organization stop him on a daily basis.
Speaking to journalists after the assembly session, Zehri said that although he is frequently intercepted by armed men, his weapon has so far not been taken from him. He stated that he had clearly told the armed individuals, “You may shoot me, but do not take away my weapon.”
Zehri further alleged that even the Chief Minister of Balochistan had mentioned facing pressure from a banned outfit in matters concerning a union council.
Describing the situation as a serious threat to the safety of public representatives, Zehri urged the government to take immediate and concrete steps to counter political and outlawed elements and to ensure the protection of elected officials.
