Fire Contained in Pine Nut and Olive Forests of Sherani Despite Challenging Terrain: PDMA

Quetta (Daily Qudrat) — Authorities have successfully brought under control a fire that broke out in the pine nut and olive forests of Sherani district in Balochistan. According to DG PDMA Balochistan, Jahanzeb Khan Ghoryani, despite difficult mountainous terrain and harsh weather conditions, PDMA’s rescue teams, in coordination with the Forest Department, Levies, and local tribal communities, managed to control the blaze and prevent it from spreading further.
Relief Commissioner PDMA Balochistan, Jahanzeb Khan Ghoryani, highlighted that Sherani’s valuable pine nut and olive forests are not only a habitat for wildlife but also an important source of livelihood for the local population, who depend on these natural resources. Residents expressed their gratitude to PDMA for the timely and effective response.
