Opposition Leaders Accuse National Assembly Speaker of Following External Instructions, Demand FIR Against PM, IG, and Officials

Islamabad (Daily Qudrat) — Opposition leaders, including Mahmood Khan Achakzai, Asad Qaiser, and Barrister Gohar, criticized the government and the National Assembly Speaker outside Parliament House, alleging that democracy in the country is under threat.

Mahmood Khan Achakzai called the Speaker a “puppet” claiming that he takes instructions from elsewhere. He demanded the registration of an FIR against Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif, Mohsin Naqvi, and the IG Islamabad, along with other military commanders, over the events of November 26. Achakzai emphasized that anyone attempting to attack the Constitution will be stopped.

Asad Qaiser highlighted alleged rigging in the Haripur by-election, claiming that Form 45 results were manipulated electronically, thereby depriving the public of their right to vote. He said this amounted to a violation of the Constitution under the 26th and 27th amendments and announced plans for a public rally and APC in Quetta on December 2.

Barrister Gohar warned that while PTI has always worked within the system and respected Parliament, the reversal of their Haripur victory could result in the party founder reconsidering their continued membership in the Assembly.

The opposition leaders’ statements signal rising tensions over electoral integrity and the perceived undermining of parliamentary processes.
