No Compromise Will Be Made on National Integrity, Security, and Citizens’ Protection: Field Marshal Asim Munir

Rawalpindi: Chief of Army Staff, Field Marshal Asim Munir, has reaffirmed that despite externally supported terrorism and complex challenges, the Pakistan Armed Forces remain fully committed to safeguarding national security.

According to the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), participants of the 27th National Security Workshop visited the General Headquarters (GHQ). The National Security Workshop, organized by the National Defence University, is a key program that brings together parliamentarians, senior civil and military officials, and representatives from educational and social sectors.

ISPR stated that workshop participants were briefed on ongoing national measures against illegal activities, including actions against drug smuggling and organized criminal networks. They were also updated on improved border controls and the repatriation of illegal foreign nationals.

Addressing the participants, Field Marshal Asim Munir highlighted that intelligence and law enforcement agencies are demonstrating high levels of professional expertise and commitment toward national security. He noted that the regional situation is rapidly evolving, with increasing geopolitical competition, cross-border terrorism, and hybrid threats posing significant challenges.

“Pakistan is a key country and is determined to maintain its stature on the global stage. The professionalism, dedication, and resolve of the Pakistan Armed Forces in the cause of truth have enhanced the country’s prestige internationally. Our greatest strength is national unity,” he said.

He emphasized that the Pakistan Army’s top priority is the country’s territorial integrity, security, and the protection of every citizen. “No compromise will be made on national borders, security, or the safety of any Pakistani. God willing, we will thwart all nefarious designs of our adversaries,” he added.

Field Marshal Asim Munir also reiterated the Army’s commitment to full cooperation with federal and provincial governments, stressing that sustained peace, stability, and prosperity require coordinated national efforts and institutional harmony.
