Local Government System Is the Foundation of Democracy, Says Senator Jan Muhammad Baloch; National Party Pledges Strong Participation in Elections

Quetta – A meeting organized by the National Party was held on Alamdar Road, Quetta, in connection with the upcoming local government elections. The session was addressed by former Central Secretary General and Senator Jan Muhammad Baloch, Central Vice President Dr. Ishaq Baloch, Chief Spokesperson Ali Ahmad Lango, Central Committee member Dr. Ramzan Hazara, and Ayaz Kushtmand.
The leaders emphasized that the National Party will participate actively in the local government elections to represent public aspirations and ensure genuine political representation. The nomination of candidates in all union councils of Mariabad and Hazara Town was highlighted as a symbol of the party’s organizational strength, political influence, and public trust.
Senator Jan Muhammad Baloch stated that the local government system forms the foundation of democratic structures, fostering public participation, political training, and strengthening democracy at the grassroots level. While local institutions are constitutionally and administratively significant worldwide, they often lack protection here, causing delays in conducting timely local elections.
He further added that a successful local government campaign requires strategic planning, coordinated efforts, and a genuine commitment to public service. National Party workers in Mariabad and Hazara Town have played a key role in addressing community issues and maintaining communication with the public, laying the groundwork for electoral success.
The meeting also praised the active participation of women candidates in the general councilor seats as a positive and encouraging development. At the conclusion, nominated candidates were formally issued party tickets by Central Vice President Dr. Ishaq Baloch, Senator Jan Muhammad Baloch, and Dr. Ramzan Hazara.
The event was attended by Central Committee member Younus Baloch, District General Secretary Riaz Zahri, Malik Nasir Shahwani, Saira Batool, Haji Asghar Hazara, Agha Ziauddin Hazara, and a large number of male and female party members.
