Massive Workers Welfare Board Scandal Uncovered in Balochistan: Children of Millionaires Enrolled Under Labour Quota

QUETTA: A shocking scandal has emerged within the Workers Welfare Board (WWB) Balochistan, exposing how education quotas meant exclusively for labourers’ children were allegedly hijacked by wealthy and influential families.
According to a special report received from Quetta, the admission list of the *American Lifestyle School*—operating under the WWB—has revealed that children of top businessmen, political families, and powerful millionaires were enrolled under the category reserved for labourers’ children.
The revelations contradict the Balochistan Chief Minister’s public claims of providing quality education to the children of workers, as billions of rupees in funds reportedly failed to reach deserving beneficiaries and instead benefited influential individuals.
Sources indicate that the government is paying **Rs. 72,000 per child per month** to the little-known private school, without any tender process, competition, or quality assessment. Insiders allege that the influence of Abdul Sattar Bugti and his frontmen is so strong that accountability institutions—including NAB, Anti-Corruption Establishment, and other oversight bodies—have been unable to take any effective action.
The scandal points to blatant corruption, nepotism, and the systematic deprivation of rights of deserving labour-class students. Labour unions and public groups have demanded an urgent and comprehensive audit, eviction of fake beneficiaries, recovery of misused funds, and strict punitive action against all responsible individuals.
