**Islamabad:** An **Indian Air Force PC-7 trainer aircraft** crashed in the Chengalpattu district near Chennai during a routine training flight. According to Indian media reports, the pilot successfully ejected and escaped unharmed.

Footage released by the Indian news agency PTI showed the wreckage of the aircraft scattered on the ground.

The Indian Air Force later confirmed the incident, stating that no casualties or property damage occurred. A **Court of Inquiry** has been ordered to determine the cause of the crash. The PC-7 Mark II trainer aircraft went down near Tambaram, Chennai, during a standard training sortie in the afternoon.
