Two Judges Absent as Chief Justice Yahya Afridi Presides Over Supreme Court Full Court Session

**Islamabad:** Out of 19 sitting Supreme Court judges, 17 attended the full court session presided over by **Chief Justice Yahya Afridi**, while **Justice Munib Akhtar** and **Justice Ayesha Malik** were absent.

Earlier, the Supreme Court had 24 judges. After the resignations of two judges, the number dropped to 22. Following the transfer of three judges to the Federal Shariat Court, the current strength stands at 19 judges.

President **Asif Ali Zardari** has accepted the resignations of **Justice Mansoor Ali Shah** and **Justice Athar Minallah**, who submitted their resignations the previous day.
