Hopes for Civilian Supremacy Fading, Says Sher Afzal Marwat

Islamabad: Member of National Assembly Sher Afzal Marwat has expressed concerns over the declining hopes for political reconciliation in Pakistan, stating that Justice Mansoor Ali Shah was deprived of his rightful opportunity to become Chief Justice.

In a recent interview, Marwat said that if Justice Mansoor Ali Shah had not been heard in the full court session called recently, he would have submitted his resignation. He added that it was difficult for senior judges of stature to work under junior judges, and he anticipates that more resignations may follow.
