President Zardari Signs OGRA (Amendment) Ordinance 2026

Islamabad: President Asif Ali Zardari has signed the Oil and Gas Regulatory Authority (OGRA) (Amendment) Ordinance, 2026, introducing amendments to the Oil and Gas Regulatory Authority Ordinance, 2002.
According to a statement issued by the Presidency, the ordinance was promulgated by the President on the advice of the Prime Minister.
The amendment revises Sections 2 and 3 of the Oil and Gas Regulatory Authority Ordinance, 2002. The ordinance has officially come into effect following the President’s approval.
The Presidency said the amendments were made in accordance with the government’s advice under the constitutional process. However, the official statement did not provide further details regarding the specific changes introduced through the amendments.
