Mahmood Khan Achakzai Announces ‘Movement for Protection of the Constitution’; Vows to Write to Foreign Ambassadors

Quetta: Chairman of the Pashtunkhwa Milli Awami Party and head of the **Movement for Protection of the Constitution of Pakistan (Tehreek-e-Tahaffuz-e-Aeen-e-Pakistan)**, **Mahmood Khan Achakzai**, has announced the formal launch of the movement, declaring that **nationwide protests** will be held today (Friday) by all participating parties.
In a statement posted on social media platform **X**, Achakzai said the movement would stage protests across the country, chanting slogans against what he called an “unconstitutional order,” adding that **they reject any such system or constitution imposed by a non-representative government.**
He further revealed that the movement has decided to **write letters to all foreign ambassadors**, hold meetings with them, and inform them that **any agreements signed with the current non-representative government will not be accepted by the people of Pakistan.**
Criticizing the rulers, Achakzai accused global powers of **interfering in the region for its mineral wealth** and condemned what he described as “serious negligence” on the part of those responsible.
He issued a strong warning to the government, saying that **public reaction will send a clear message** about the people’s stance. Achakzai also urged citizens to **actively participate in the movement**, vowing to continue protests to defend the Constitution and protect the national interest.
