Balochistan Healthcare Commission Issues Fire Safety Advisory for All Medical Centers

QUETTA: The Balochistan Healthcare Commission has issued a fire safety, emergency preparedness and evacuation advisory for all medical centers across the province.
According to the Chief Executive Officer of the Balochistan Healthcare Commission, compliance with fire safety, emergency preparedness and evacuation requirements has been made mandatory for all healthcare facilities.
The commission has directed all medical centers to immediately review their fire safety arrangements and preparedness to deal with emergencies.
The advisory instructs healthcare facilities to ensure that firefighting equipment and fire alarm systems are fully functional and readily available in case of an emergency.
The commission further directed that emergency evacuation routes at medical centers must be clearly marked, unobstructed and operational to ensure the safe evacuation of patients, attendants and staff during any emergency.
The Balochistan Healthcare Commission stressed that effective fire safety measures and emergency preparedness are essential for protecting lives at healthcare facilities.
