Strict Security Measures Ordered for Non-Local Workers on Mega Projects in Quetta

**Quetta (Qudrat Daily)** — Quetta Division Commissioner Shahzaib Khan Kakar has ordered strict monitoring of non-local personnel working on mega projects and reinforced security measures across the division. The directive came during a high-level meeting on law and order and security arrangements in Quetta Division.
The meeting was attended by Deputy Commissioners of Quetta, Pishin, Chaman, and Killa Abdullah, Additional Commissioner Agha Samiullah, Assistant Commissioner Political Syed Muhammad Kaleem, police officials, Special Branch, and other law enforcement agencies. Some participants joined via video link.
During the session, the overall security situation in Quetta Division was reviewed in detail. The Commissioner instructed all Deputy Commissioners to regularly hold District Intelligence Coordination Committee (DICC) meetings to enhance security arrangements.
Special emphasis was placed on the strict monitoring of non-local workers involved in development projects. Measures include limiting transportation during night hours, deploying additional personnel at check posts, and ensuring strict implementation of Section 144.
Deputy Commissioners reported that security measures have been intensified across all districts, including increased manpower at check posts, snap checking, provision of bulletproof jackets, and restrictions on unnecessary night-time movement. Educational institutions with large gatherings are also receiving special security attention, and strict monitoring of residential hotels has been implemented with systematic data collection of occupants.
The meeting also stressed improving intelligence-sharing, joint operations, and timely information exchange between administration and law enforcement agencies.
Commissioner Shahzaib Khan Kakar emphasized that maintaining law and order is a top priority. He said that security personnel must perform their duties efficiently to ensure the safety of citizens and property. He instructed that night-time deployment, bulletproof vests, special security plans for development workers, and strict enforcement of Section 144 be fully implemented.
The Commissioner added that snap checks, increased patrolling, and intelligence-based operations will continue to ensure a secure environment and effectively prevent any untoward incidents.
