Terrorism in Pashtunkhwa and Balochistan Aims to Loot Valuable Resources, Says Asghar Khan Achakzai

*Loralai (Qudrat News)* — **Asghar Khan Achakzai**, Provincial President of the **Awami National Party (ANP)**, has stated that the terrorism imposed in **Pashtunkhwa and Balochistan** is primarily aimed at **plundering the region’s precious resources**.
Speaking to the media, he said that from the 1970s to the present Afghan regime, the **intentions of Pakistan’s establishment and rulers** have often been questionable. He emphasized that the conflict faced by these regions is **not based on ideology or political systems**, but largely on **ethnic grounds**, highlighting the ongoing discriminatory and humiliating treatment of Afghan refugees, which he described as a **violation of fundamental human rights and international laws protecting refugees**.
Achakzai warned that extremist forces are being strengthened to **instill fear among local populations**, enabling **international powers to negotiate agreements** that undermine the autonomy and welfare of local communities. He stressed the need for awareness and resistance against these actions to **protect the rights, safety, and resources of the people of Pashtunkhwa and Balochistan**.
He called on the government and international organizations to take immediate steps to **ensure justice, uphold human rights, and curb exploitation in the region**.
