Punjab to Discontinue Free Treatment Under Sehat Card After June 30

Lahore: The Punjab government has decided to discontinue the free healthcare services provided through the Sehat Card in public hospitals after June 30, 2025. The Sehat Card program, which has been facilitating free medical treatment for poor and deserving patients for several years, will no longer be valid beyond this date.
According to an official notification issued by the Punjab Health Initiative Management Company, all heads of government hospitals have been directed to settle all outstanding dues related to Sehat Card treatments before the June 30 deadline. The notification clearly states that after this date, treatment under the Sehat Card will no longer be available.
The circular also mentioned that Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz is set to introduce a new healthcare policy that will take effect after June 30. However, details of the new policy have not yet been disclosed.
