Meena Majeed Baloch Announces Increased Grant and Establishment of Digital Library for Balochistan Academy Turbat

*Turbat (Daily Qudrat)* — Provincial Adviser for Sports and Youth Affairs, **Meena Majeed Baloch**, visited the **Balochistan Academy Turbat** on Friday, where she announced an increase in the academy’s annual grant and the establishment of the **“Waja Taj Muhammad Digital Library.”**

Upon her arrival, she was warmly received by the academy’s chairman, **Professor Dr. Ghafoor Shad**, along with other officials. The chairman briefed the adviser on the academy’s educational and literary contributions as well as its current financial difficulties, explaining that despite decades of service in promoting language, literature, research, and culture, the institution has been facing a financial crisis due to reduced grants in recent years.

Acknowledging the academy’s valuable role in intellectual and cultural development, Meena Majeed Baloch praised its efforts and assured full government support. She pledged to personally discuss the issue of grant enhancement with the Chief Minister of Balochistan and announced government assistance for the **expansion of the academy building** and the **creation of the digital library**.

Furthermore, the adviser declared that a **research scheme worth Rs. 5 million** would be proposed in the upcoming Public Sector Development Programme (PSDP) for the publication of the **complete works of renowned poet Mulla Fazil**, along with Urdu, English, and Persian translations.

At the conclusion of the visit, Chairman Dr. Ghafoor Shad, General Secretary Maqbool Nasir, Fazal Baloch, Ahmad Umar, Jamal Peer Muhammad, Shagarullah Yousaf, Rashid Hasrat, and other members expressed gratitude to the provincial adviser, hoping her initiatives would bring new momentum to literary and academic activities in Turbat and the wider Makran region.
