UK Chief of the General Staff Meets Pakistan’s Field Marshal Asim Munir — Discuss Strengthening Bilateral Defence Cooperation

**Islamabad (Daily Qudrat)** — The **Chief of the General Staff of the UK Armed Forces** met with **Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir** and discussed ways to further strengthen **bilateral defence cooperation**, along with matters of **mutual interest** and **regional security**.

According to the **Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR)**, upon arrival at the **General Headquarters (GHQ)**, the British Chief of the General Staff laid a **wreath at the Yadgar-e-Shuhada (Martyrs’ Monument)** and paid tribute to Pakistan’s fallen heroes. A **smartly turned-out contingent of the Pakistan Army** presented a **guard of honour** to the distinguished guest.

The ISPR further stated that the visiting general **praised the Pakistan Army’s achievements in the fight against terrorism** and acknowledged its sacrifices for regional peace.

During the meeting, both sides **emphasised the importance of continued cooperation** for ensuring **peace and stability in the region**.
