Indian Voices Praise Pakistan’s Diplomacy in Iran–US Ceasefire, #PakGlobalPeaceMaker Trends Online

Islamabad: Pakistan’s diplomatic efforts in facilitating the recent ceasefire between the United States and Iran have received widespread international recognition, including unexpected praise from Indian academics, analysts, and public figures.

The two-week ceasefire, reportedly achieved through Pakistan’s mediation under the leadership of Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif and Army Chief Asim Munir, has been welcomed globally as a major step toward regional peace.

On social media platform X, the hashtag #PakGlobalPeaceMaker emerged as a top trend, reflecting widespread appreciation for Pakistan’s role.

Indian academic Ashok Swain praised Pakistan’s diplomacy while sharing a White House-related post, calling it “a victory for Iran and a moment of honor for Pakistan.” He added that attempts to isolate Pakistan internationally may have backfired, leaving India itself isolated.

Defense analyst Pravin Sawhney commended Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif, describing his efforts as “impressive.”

Author Atul Khatri expressed gratitude, writing, “I never thought I would tweet this for Pakistan.”

Intellectual Jayant Bhandari highlighted Pakistan’s leadership, saying the country had demonstrated its ability to find capable leaders.

Defense expert Abhijit Iyer-Mitra congratulated both Shehbaz Sharif and Asim Munir, noting that successful mediation requires both skill and the willingness to take risks—qualities Pakistan displayed effectively.

Journalist Aditya Menon also praised the leadership for securing the ceasefire, while film critic RK thanked Pakistan for helping avert a potentially devastating conflict, calling it a service not just to the region but to the entire world.

The reactions highlight a rare moment of cross-border acknowledgment, as voices from India publicly recognized Pakistan’s role in reducing tensions and promoting peace in a volatile region.
