National Party Vows to Expel ‘Corrupt Elements’ from Politics — Criticizes Billions Spent in Quetta with ‘No Visible Progress

**Quetta (Qudrat Daily)** — The **National Party (NP)** has strongly criticized the misuse of public funds in Quetta, alleging that despite **billions of rupees spent annually through MPA development funds**, the city continues to resemble “a heap of ruins.” The remarks were made during a **party meeting held in Mariabad under the chairmanship of provincial president Aslam Baloch**, focused on preparations for the upcoming **local government elections**.
The meeting was attended by a large number of party leaders and workers, including **Changiz Hayi Baloch, Yasmin Lehri, Haji Atta Muhammad Bangulzai, and Dr. Ramzan Hazara**, while **central labor secretary Dad Muhammad Baloch, Riaz Zehri, Arif Kurd, and Colonel Gaddafi Baloch** were also present. Participants discussed electoral strategies, with **Dr. Ramzan Hazara** briefing attendees on local election plans for Mariabad and Hazara Town, confirming that the **National Party will contest the elections vigorously** from both constituencies.
Addressing the gathering, **Chairman Aslam Baloch** stated that **Balochistan belongs to all its people**, but the province’s **true political representation has been compromised** by what he described as “political brokers” manipulating **Form-47 results**. He pointed out that **Quetta alone elects 13 MPAs, 3 MNAs, and multiple senators**, yet the city’s infrastructure remains in ruins.
Baloch claimed that **over Rs. 10 billion are allocated annually under MPA funds**, along with a **Rs. 40 billion Quetta project**, but rampant corruption by “so-called representatives” has rendered these funds ineffective. He accused **smugglers, businessmen, and even drug mafia figures** of spending millions to enter politics, thereby **corrupting the democratic process** and worsening public misery.
He called upon **oppressed and marginalized communities** to **unite and organize** to remove these “corrupt elements” from the political system. Aslam Baloch asserted that the **National Party has the capability and vision** to mobilize the underprivileged segments of society and **restore genuine political representation** through democratic and transparent means.
