India Still Engaged in Conspiracies Against Pakistan, Says Information Minister Atta Tarar

Islamabad: Federal Minister for Information and Broadcasting **Atta Tarar** has said that **India continues to engage in conspiracies against Pakistan**, revealing that **Pakistan’s Coast Guard recently arrested a sailor spying for Indian agencies**, who has now **publicly confessed to being used by Indian intelligence**.
Addressing a press conference in Islamabad, the minister said Pakistan has achieved **significant diplomatic successes** through sustained effort and hard work.
> “Those who worked tirelessly on the diplomatic front will always be remembered for their service. Pakistan has suffered the most due to terrorism, yet the world acknowledges our achievements,” he stated.
Tarar condemned India’s attempt to **falsely blame Pakistan for the Pahalgam incident**, emphasizing that **Pakistan is itself a major victim of terrorism**.
> “The false narrative that Pakistan promotes terrorism has been rejected globally. Pakistan’s Foreign Service is one of the best in the world — its officers have brought pride to the country on international platforms,” he said.
He added that **Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif** had offered **independent investigations into the Pahalgam attack**, an initiative that earned Pakistan **support from friendly nations**.
> “When war was imposed on us, our armed forces gave a fitting response. Under the leadership of Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir, Pakistan achieved victory, and the Air Force’s role in this battle will be written in golden letters,” Tarar remarked.
The information minister accused **Indian media of spreading false propaganda**, contrasting it with **responsible reporting by Pakistani outlets**, which, he said, drew the world’s attention to the truth.
> “After the victory in the Battle of Haq, every Pakistani holds their head high. We are engaged in an information war — our narrative is a strong and truthful answer to India’s falsehoods,” he asserted.
Commenting on economic matters, Tarar said that **Prime Minister Sharif’s recent visit to Saudi Arabia** resulted in the launch of a **Strategic Economic Framework**, marking a **major step forward**.
> “Our focus now is on attracting foreign investment, strengthening ties with Central Asian states, and utilizing Pakistani ports for regional trade. We are determined to reach new heights in the economic domain and expand cooperation with friendly countries,” he concluded.
